Another C.J.Dennis favourite from A Book for Kids, and an excellent excuse to include another frog recording: this one from a nicely resonant water tank in Towamba, NSW. I think I need to consult my What Frog Is That? tape to find out which species is performing here — it's a royalties issue — or perhaps a friendly amphibianorak could let me know...?

The CD cover for 'A Book for Kids' uses artwork by C.J.Dennis himself. CD 1 shows a stockman skidding to a halt on his disgruntled horse, watched by a magpie on the fence, while CDs 2 and 3 show a baker and a band. All refer to poems in the collection.
